Abstract

Subject and goals. Theoretical and methodological foundations of sustainable economic growth are actively developed in the scientific literature. The authors in this article attempted to develop the methodological aspects of the ecosystem approach in order to sustainable industrial development of the Russian regions.
Methods. As a methodological basis of the study, a systematic approach is chosen. The authors developed a comprehensive three-level methodology for assessing the potential of the industrial ecosystem.
Results and conclusions. A comparative analysis of the models of the actors’ interaction in the industrial sphere is carried out and the fundamental distinctive features of ecosystems as a new organizational and managerial model that provide interfacing in the process of economic growth of innovation and sustainability are revealed. It is shown that the industrial ecosystem model is the development of a number of cluster, network and infrastructural models, combining the most promising practices of interaction and coordination and supplementing them with new principles necessary in the face of technological challenges. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the developed methodological provisions in the practice of managing industrial enterprises, as well as in the development of program documents and strategies for the development of industries.
